"The Future of Biofuels" Conference

Location: Snowbird Resort, Utah

Date: 4 - 8 April 2009

Organisation: Keystone Symposia

EN

Keystone Symposia is a US-based non-profit that has been organizing highly-regarded scientific research conferences in molecular and cellular biology for 37 years, including the first open international meeting on HIV/AIDS.

"The Future of Biofuels" is a four-day conference and the first-ever in this field for Keystone Symposia. Organized by William D. Provine, Chris R. Somerville, Doug Cameron and Jay D. Keasling, it will feature a keynote address by Jason Clay of the World Wildlife Fund followed by three days of plenary and poster sessions and workshops. There will be free time to allow for networking and collaboration-building at this top-rated skiing and snowboarding resort just outside Salt Lake City.

Key objectives

The goal of this meeting is to share a broad perspective defining the critical needs for biofuels and to highlight cutting-edge research and development efforts that are defining the next generation of biofuel product and process advances. One major deficiency in the advancement of biofuels is the need to do more integrated and cross-disciplinary research. This conference brings together a broad spectrum of core experts to bridge this gap and help to better enable and advance biofuel research efforts globally.
